Honest Indian raise your hand against Corruption

Those who want to list their clan’s names for Lokpal bill please raise their hands.

If this is asked to the people of this country I believe all except certain clans will raise their hands.

Still people will be amazed to know that how come anyone claim himself above board in this country inundated with corruption and make efforts not to include himself or his trade in Lokpal bill?

Here corruption has become a religion!

After the Anna movement people thought several clans will come forward and suggest that the Lokpal bill should include their trades also.

Alas that is not to happen!

Corrupt politicians will try their might and in collusion with the goondas, chamchas and dalals will try to malign everybody who is involved in the anti corruption movement so as to derail it.

India this is the last chance to show the corrupt people their right place, don’t miss this chance.

A nation with less corruption will be able to provide a better living condition to its citizen and their providing a conducive growth environment to India to prosper.

We Indians have a habit of not acknowledging the problem it reaches our door and we are personally affected.

It's time to change!

100 Post Cards to Manmohan Singh

100 Posts against the deadly Virus –Corruption!

When the entire nation was registering their protest against corruption and rallying behind the Gandhian soul called Anna Hazare , 100 citizens form Mumbai have lodged their protest to the Prime Minister of India by using one the oldest form of communication i.e.post cards.

Using the post card itself was novel thing looking at the condition the e mails, twitter and Facebook are meting out to almost extinct “post card”.The simple act of buying 100 post card amazed the lady at the counter and that might have completed her entire target.

With computers, laptop, palm top and mobiles in hand people are fast forgetting the art of handwriting.
The act of using a 50 paise post card itself is very personal and touching form of communication between two individuals and here is the question of making the Prime Minister awake of the ground realities of the nation.

These 100 citizens poured their anger out on the PM in their choicest language.

The writing on the wall is loud and clear –India is against Corruption.

Long live India!!

Corruption free India is my birthright and I must have it!

Corruption starts from the Top. The crusade must take us to logical conclusion. Politicians are the bane to the society. Every nook and corner of this nation is full of corrupt people.

Second war for Independence against corrupt has just begun. The Jan Lokpal bill will act as a deterrent against the corruption. The movement by Anna and team is biggest since Independence.

1.2 billion Indians have supported the Indian cricket team and helped them to get the required motivation to lift the world cup.Can this support be for our nation ,for our own people ,for our motherland who is being ransacked by the bloody politician of all hue and color?

The entire population of 1.2 billion is being fooled by just 1 lac bloody politicians.

Let Jantar Mantar be the Tahrir square of India. My appeal to all youth and student to support this movement and clean the system immediately. All political parties are equally responsible for looting this nation. All the terrorist attacks happen when there is someone in the political echelon or the bureaucrat who has sold the nation to the enemies of our motherland.
Political parties distributing Televisions, blanket , etc is nothing but corrupt practices by these leeches.3,00,000 Crore being stashed away in Swiss bank we have people dying every day due to starvation.

Keeping your eyes closed on corruption is nothing more than behaving like an ostrich and makes you an accomplice of the corrupt.Don’t keep yourself aloof of this movement.Speak up and come out in open.Half a century has passed and India is still hovering at the bottom of the heap of the nations.

We don’t have dictators like in Arabian and African nations but politician in India are ready to sell their mothers.
Once the Jan Lokpal Bill gets passed we can see a different nation arising in this world. It took us long to get independence from the Britishers but in days of international media breathing down your neck it will be a swift movement.Have patience and let the movement gather movement ,the entire government will fall like a pack of cards.

Enough is Enough, now its our turn to decide our future.

Let’s pledge our support to all those fighting against corruption.

Citizens of India wake up and fight for your right!

My best friends-Value Teachers

Who do you think is the man’s best friend?

Any guesses?

The best  friend of a child or a man is literature. It is the literature which shapes up the character of individual. We cannot discount this fact as it plays a decisive role in making a complete man.
Two such piece of literature which has shaped up my generation is Amar chitra katha and Reader's Digest.

As school going kid I tried to read many Amar chitra Katha initially by buying the copies from the books store.Gods and Demigods from Indian mythology like Krishna,Ram,Shiva  have played a key role in  making me aware of the spirituality and good things in life.

Similarly freedom fighters like Netaji,Gandhi,Tilak were responsible to bring the awareness of the sacrifices they and innumerable others have made to make my generation live in peace.

Also Rajputs like Rana Pratap and Moghul warriors like Akbar have taught us how to fight for our honor as well co exist peacefully with tribes of different religion. The amount of mythology and history which my generation has learnt from Uncle Pai’s Amar Chitra Katha could not be learnt from the school books.

The moment I stepped out of school, with the newly acquired freedom came the responsibility of being a good homo sapien. In that age when getting your hands on various literature which are naturally titillating ,the evergreen magazine called Reader’s Digest keep you grounded and helped you to become a good human being. This piece of art created by Dewitt Wallace never grew old with the elaborate Cover story,Humor in uniform,Health in your hands and various knowledgeable stories and articles.

The beauty of Amar Chitra Katha and Reader’s Digest is that the content is not time bound.Even today you can read a 10 or 20 year article is fresh and definitely relevant.
That’s reason when money was not free flowing, buying old Amar Chitra Katha or Reader’s Digest was worth.
Both of them are so good that you can gift the subscription to your relatives and friends and you will be remembered till eternity for such a worthy act.
You can sell newspapers and old magazines to old paper marts but selling Amar Chitra Katha and Reader’s Digest is sacrilege. They are so close to you heart, no they are a part of you ,your consciousness, your being human being!

Long Live ACK and RD!!

Beware of goof ups ..Practice Check and Correct!

In the age of E mail and SMS and MMS the communication has become faster.

Actually for some it is faster than their thoughts!!

Once one of my friend was exchanging text messages with his very close friend. The language between the bum chums were nothing short of “beep beep” types. Suddenly his Boss called him and by mistake he replied back with a sms with the choicest of “beep beep”.In split second he realized his mistake of the goof up and somehow could pacify his Boss!!

Accidental marking of corporate communications to unintended parties had taken toll of the biggies in the field. In order to win a bid a certain corporate implored all their employees to buy the company's product and claim back the money. However the mail landed on the web!!

Once a Finance Minister of old empire was asked by journalist about the impending budget .Pat came the reply that the cigarette he is smoking will get costlier to him. Before the budget could be tabled, the press went berserk with the headlines “duties on tobacco is increasing” .The Minister had to pay for his goof up by putting in his paper.

The moral of the story is hold your tongue or rather your finger or more aptly thought before reverting on any form of communication.

A simple way to do this is to Practice a method called “Check and Correct”.In this method the task is check what you to send and what are you actually sending before you hit the 'click' button.

This can be used not only in your personal or official communication but also can be very well used by students when they write their exams. This saves lot of goof ups and bad blood between not bum chums or colleagues.

That’s why it is said Thought moves faster than the Thinker!!

AIDA model of communication for personal selling!!

Getting the money due to you out of the Government coffers is like desiring for Super Moon.

The same was happening in my home when father being an retired employee tried his best by writing many letters through registered post and scores of phone calls to get the amount due from an armed forces unit of the country.

Even I have called these gentlemen many times but in vain. There patent excuse was that we need to send this document or that photographs. This kept on going since last one year.Even after you send them everything and wait for your due, they will again start the "office office" game.

Many poor souls might have lost many of the chappal soles and still expecting anything will be blasphemy in front of these Government babus.

Finally I called that office at night 10 pm to know the name of the Head honcho of that division. As expected the Jawans were behaving as some terrorist have called them and I can bombard their centre through the phone. After lot of verbal duel I got the name of the Head honcho.

I was clear to call the Head honcho the next morning.Surprisingly I got a call from the Head honcho within minutes and he was screaming and saying ,"is this time to disturb a Government official" ? No logic like "Customer is king" in private sector was cutting ice as the head honcho said "do what ever you can" types.

My intention of getting the Head honcho Aware of my case was the first and most important step to get my job done, which I was farely successful as he himself told me that there were 150 such pending cases.

No sooner the office clock hit 10 am the next morning,I started getting calls from that office and the gentleman wanted me to believe that I made a mistake by calling the Head honcho at the unearthly hour.

He tried to tell me that the Head honcho was a gentleman and an officer which I believed as I was sure that he had shown Interest in my case and has taken Action to get it resolved.

The case got resolved in 24 hours time which was lingering and files pushed by different babus from one table to other for last one year just by applying the simple AIDA Model of Communication which stands for A-Awareness ,I-Interest,D-Desire and A-Action.

In AIDA , 50% effort on Awareness creation and 30% effort of Interest development followed by 10% each of Desire and Action is necessary to get your desired job done.

As said by William Butler Yeats, it must to ''Think like a wise man but communicate in the language of the people".

Interaction with Future leaders!!

To stay young you should be with those who are really young in mind and body.Who can be better than the today's youth who are poised to graduate to the big bad world where they will be treated by the corporate vultures?

My endeavor to motivate youth with lots of positivity and knowledge got a shot in the arm when I was invited by Poona Institute of Management Science for their National Seminar as a key speaker on Business Process Innovations through Advanced Information Technology.
The experience was really enthralling with huge crowd and positive vibe in the air.
Looking forward to more interactions with the youth of today from various strata of the society be it from Educational Institutes or the Industries where I can share Positivity,Knowledge and Motivation!!

Perceptions can be dangerous!!

The train just cruised from Mumbai and the all the berths in 3rd AC were full.Traveling on the side berth gives you the complete view of all that happens inside the compartment and still you can keep yourself aloof from participating in any cacophony.

The inside 6 berths were occupied by one old man and a young girl and 3 middle aged ladies and one man who might be in his thirties sitting with a side bag on his shoulder who was asked about his berth by one the Marwari lady which was duly conformed by the young man.

Intermittent calls from home about safe journey were peppered by personal discussions mostly by the ladies.

Within half a hour or so the train stopped at Kalyan station and this young man with the bag slinging ,suddenly got up and went out of the compartment.

Almost within a second one lady said "these types of persons normally travel from Mumbai CST to Kalyan without reservation ".

Some one said "this is the modus operandi of thief who flick valuables and get down".

The old man cleared his throat and offered with all the intelligence ,"we should be more alert ,he could be terrorist in disguise and might have left a bomb in nice bag".Immediately all eyes were scanning all the bags and everyone ensured their belongings.

The old man also went down on the platform to see the name of the person on the reservation chart pasted on the bogey.

These group which till now was not knowing one another were quite relieved once the young man alighted the train.

In couple of minutes the train started slowly to move from Kalyan station.

Next 2-3 min were lull , suddenly the young man who had been target of everyone appeared with a bottle of packaged drinking water in one hand and other clutching his personal carry bag.

All of a sudden you can see the bewildered expressions on the faces of all the ladies and the old man .While some one was smiling and others tried to look outside the windows at all those sun burnt trees.

May be they felt bad about the comments made for this young man or may be they were still not believing their own eyes.

I was zapped how we people make perception about anyone without knowing an iota about the person. The irony was the young man was not aware of all that happened behind him.He took rest of the people as his own and started mingling once again.

Knowing a person takes many years and judging someone in jiffy can be dangerous!!

The leg workers have brains too..

What does an organization do when the question of survival starks on their face?

1)The head honcho may try to solve the problem himself.

2)If not possible then max he will call his coterie and discuss the matter with them.

3)If no results flow then he will call the Senior management team to the boardroom to ponder ,discuss, mull over the issue.

But the real problem in most of such circumstances is that all the above stakeholders are the part of the problem.

Can they think beyond their routine thought process?

Now cut to a situation of our Indian home.
The moment a problem arises there will be lot of hue and cry.
Once the dust settles the entire family put their head to resolve the issue on the dinning table or in the living room. The smallest to the dumbest member also puts his thought in front of the family. These days the young member being educated and seen the world and many a times shows some flashes of brilliance.

But alas in corporate world the people downward are hardly invited to be the part of the solution. The reason is that the "leg workers can't think".

However these leg workers are our ears and eyes in the market. Not listening to them is hara kiri nobody should attempt. In this scenario the Human Resource department of the organization plays an important role in making the frontliners to join hands in helping the organization.
The people who brought down many corrupt dictators and ruthless self elected persons around the world can also be part of the solution in any organization.

Have faith and believe "the legworkers have brains too"...

The Inclusive Management ..

The involvement of the front line team is the most important thing in any budgetting.

The various benefits of this act are:

1)The front line team gets the feel of the types of number they are expected to deliver.

2)The get a feeling of Inclusive Management where they feel being a part of real management.

3)They start to own the numbers from the day one.

4)They start deliberating on the ground level strategies to achieve these budget ted number.

5)The numbers being achieved by such an activity will help the front line sales team to be good brand ambassador of the organization.

Pressure cooker!!

With the Cricket world cup fever on its peak, the entire nation of 1.2 billion people represented by the 100 odd Television channels has started mounting enormous pressure on the Indian cricket squad for the world cup.

This is the same type of pressure which as an Indian we put on our wards for performance in schools, sports, music, theatre and so on and so forth.

This type of expectation builds the killing pressure and then a with full preparation, a slight deviation will cause the irreparable loss on the psyche of the team.

All the TV channels have started playing the roles of Dronacharyas and with a slew of old players
have started guiding the teams from their studios. In order to get these gyan all the players have to get glued to the channels and stop playing.
Winning or losing just don't depend on the individual or the individual team,it also depend on the others.Cheering the team is one thing and becoming the de facto coach is another.

Instead of forcing them to win we should cheer them for better and enjoyable game. This will release the huge pressure and will help them to play.

The culture of "my child is better than his" is being played on the national arena and which is harmful to the nation's health as it is for your child.

Just think was there the this type of frenzy in 1983 when Kapil and team lifted the world cup?

Just think was there the pressure of Rabindranath Tagore to get the Noble prize?

Just think was C V Raman under such media glare when he discovered Raman effect?

Play for Excellence rather than Success!!

I am the ...

I am the CEO of the nation.

I am the elected representative of the people's republic.

I am under oath to serve the people and this nation.

I am the most accomplished Economist of this country and I have the blessings of Madam.

My role is just to do what is non controversial .

I will keep my eyes closed to all that will hurt the common man.

I will behave like an ostrich even if all the Indian money is stashed away in Swiss banks.

I will keep quite if all the politicians make themselves and their dynasties richer and make our motherland the poorest country.

I will see the other way even corruption breeds under my nose and I will appoint someone against whom corruption cases are pending as the Custodian against corruption.

I will act blind even if some one acts against the Oil mafias and Coal mafias.

I will do nothing even if the Nation's pride is hurt and we are all shamed by the Games mafia to launder tons of money.
I will help in creating a system where my creed of 1 lac will fool 1.2 billion countrymen every 5 years in the name of democracy as if all the power will be transferred to the garib janata after the grand party called election!!

I will take the other road when my politician brothers rapes my daughters and sisters.
I will help my Kauravas to loot the homes for the widows of those who have sacrificed their lives for my peace and life.

Congress Grass !!

The corruption in India is like Congress grass.Whatever you do to weed them out they will out grow your effort.Like the name it starts with that party and now no party is aloof to this disease. The situation is such that all the four estates which are so called pillars of of democracy had been weekend by termite of corruption.

India has the proud distinction of being the 87Th ranked nation in world ranking. Thanks to all political parties, bureaucracy, police and you cannot forget the public.

Earlier the public had to resort to corrupt practices so as to get something illegal to get done.Today the public resorts to corruption to get their legal things done.

Without giving a bribe if someone gets his job done then he must be nothing less that the PM's man.

For Indian to be like the least corrupt nation of Denmark we need to wage a war against corruption like what Nitesh kumar have initiated.

With Rs 300,000 crore of Indian money in Swiss bank who only a fool can expect any action in near future!!

Two pronged approach is required to weed out this Congress grass from India.

Politician-criminal nexus should be broken by bringing the entire police,CBI and other enforcement agencies out of the shadow of the corrupt politician.

All corrupt politician and bureaucrats should be immediately tried and must be given exemplary punishment which should include freezing their all assets and life time barring from participating in governance.

However the corruption in India is like the Congress grass which should be only uprooted and cleansed without any trace of it!!

The total number of elected politician in Parliament, all Assemblies, all corporations, etc will not be more 1,00,000 and still they are fooling 1.2 billion Indians!!

This is possible as many middle class goons are working for them against their own mothers and sisters.

Damn the Congress grass!!

Enemy's Enemy is your Friend!!

"Enemy's enemy is your friend"..How true?

Sallu is Shahrukh's enemy and Shahrukh is Aamir's enemy,so Sallu is Aamir's friend. This seems too simplistic in itself but that holds true for nation's as well.

During the Iran Iraq war since US was never appreciative of Iran's geopolitical adventurism ,US was against Iran.Iran was against Iraq,so US had been hand in gloves with Iraq against Iran.

This was used against the Britishers when some nationalist colluded with Japan and Hitler's Germany for realising India's aspirations.

This is all the prevalent in Indian politics where sleeping with the enemy is acceptable till both have a common enemy. That's why every five years you see different fellows befriending unlikely political hues.

This has its downturn also .When the common enemy disappears friends turn against each other!!

Soul Curry!!

The journey called life has taken me to Patna, the capital of Bihar ,the flagship BIMARU state.

All thoughts of you being robbed, kidnapped and injured started in my psyche the moment I landed in the city. After completing the conference I was keen to venture around and wanted to feel the life there.
The city seems to cruzing on its own speed. The small roads were full of traffic with pedestrian ,two wheeler ,four wheeler and also cattles making your way all the more difficult.
However one peculiar thing about Patna seemed to very frequent urge of everyone to honk.
One can safely honour Patna with the title of "Honking capital of the world".Here honking seems to be the birth right of everyone and nobody cared for silence zones, etc.

All of us went to see the Ganges ,where in order to kill the time we went out on small boat which was filled to the brim. After some time the boat started drifting towards a small island like place.

Once there we kept our shoes in the boat and jumped into the water to cross over to the sandy patch of soil.

The view of the palace of the king of Dharbhanga on one side and Mahatma Gandhi setu on the other was itself fully paisa vasool and it was for just ten bucks for the return trip.

Suddenly the boat which brought us started moving towards the other shore. Before we could realise anything it was far beyond our clarion call for our shoes which were left in it.All big discussion on the geopolitical situation screeched to halt and suddenly everyone came back from the divine and enjoyable sight to the real world where the only question cropping up in every one's mind was their shoes. We couldn't but start doubting the boat man and everyone inside it.Being in Bihar nobody could even think of getting back those much needed shoes.

After some time few more boats sailed to the island but alas our boat was nowhere to see.

When every Tom started planning to go the naked feet to our Hotel rooms ,suddenly we could listen to a shout "O Jutey wale bhayya ,Aapka Jutey le lo"! It was the same boatman whom we cursed and called names just a few pairs of shoes!!

All four were so delighted to get back the shoes and I started thinking -the people in the heartlands of India particularly Bihar are not heartless as they are portrayed outside.

They are simple people with dreams of making both ends meet ,they are ambitious people who could not enjoy the fruits of modernisation ,they are people who thought "vikas" is not their cup of tea till somebody opened their eyes to the colossal loss they have incurred by entrusting wrong people for so many years.

The trust of India lies in villages and on the banks of sacred Ganges live the true sons of Mother India!!

Yeh monthend ka end kab aayega!!

Sales guys have their lives counted on months. It is expected that a good month good performance makes you eligible for the paycheck or else you are #$@%!^.
b
As airplane pilot's experiences are measured in hours a Sales persons experience should be measured in month ends. Some funny Joe will ask you in job interview about your contribution to the organization...aree Saheb itne din tika raha ..itne month end nikale woh kya kum bada achievement hai!!
The guy tired of sales life finds himself infront of a Daruwala to know his future and listens ''jajman aapke toh sirf 12 month ends baaki hai".
The poor guy must have died many months but this bolt must have been the last nail!!

Many battles have won and many lost around the month ends. When the entire company is relaxing the sales guys is drowned in the month end ...dumping material till the time business partner starts vomitting.
The last hour sales targets and last minute ditches by the customers are normal heartaches for the sales guys and still he is expected to live and perform to prove his worth.

Beginning of the next month some creative genius from the marketing or your boss's boss appears from nowhere to know the reasons of last month's success.
His question clean bolds you and makes you wonder, you scratch your head say to yourself "had I known the reason of success don't you think I would have implemented same every month".

Now if you had a bad month you are liable to explain the reasons of failure, now alas if you had known the reason would you not rectify the same that month only.
A successful month brings many Fathers who will claim that it is there ideas which clicked...

It's like asking the patient the reasons of his ailment!!

Every month Sales world rotates around monthends and the sales guy wonder when will be his last month!!!

Life Like A Puppet

Many a times in our life we have lost control on our own finances!!

Many a times in our life we have lost control on our own temptations!!

Many a times in our life we have lost control on our own vision!!

Why does it happen to us that we buy many things in our life on impulses?

Why does it happen to us that we join a company because somebody else wanted us to?

Why does it happen to us that we have relationship because someone else wants us to ?

The primary reason is aimless voyage on the journey called Life.

Also it may be possible that we have not "discovered our calling".

The fault lies not just within us ,it is ingrained in our societal psyche.

It has become our culture!!

Precisely that may be the reason why only few people are successful in their life and are in complete control.

The irony is most of the time lessor mortals like us react to events, situations and people and we not the creator of our destiny and finally "ourselves".

Either you have your own goals or you become a part of someone else's goals.

That's why most of us are like puppets dancing to other's tune.

Beware...
Take charge.....
Control your own destiny.......Or someone else will!!!

Divided against Union Carbide!!

20000 lives vanished and lacs maimed and still the politicians have the audacity to give safe passage to Anderson!!!

These bloody politicians are there to sell India.

After a quarter of a century the same set of politician are going for the Nuclear power from US without any safeguards.

How come you take the people of India for granted?

Obama wanted to kick someones ass for British Petroleum Oil lick and we are there licking our wounds and sulking.

These bloody politicians can sell anything for their own benefit.

Its time people take up issues and bring the perpetrators of such heinous crime to justice.

Why not boycott all American products in India ?

Will we die if we don't drink Pepsi and Coke?

Will our lives be shortened if we don't drive GM?

The Government has seen the Red movement in rural India and if these "chalta hai" attitude is not changed the urban India will be completely Red.

Jaago India!!Jaago!!

Salesmen and Dogs are not allowed!!

This is what you see in most of the so called housing and many commercial complexes.

Is the sales person such a pushy character that everyone wants to shoo him away?

May be not! But this makes one think why such a character assassination of Sales person being done day in and day out in our society.

As per Robert Louis Stevenson Scottish novelist, poet, travel writer and author of 'Treasure Island', wrote 'Everyone lives by selling something' a full 100 year back.

If this is true then every human being is equivalent to dog!!

The statement "Salesmen and Dogs are not allowed",if you probe further you will come to know why such a comparison is being done between the most faithful and most intelligent animal on the earth.

The inherent phobia inside a human being's psyche of being bitten by a dog and his pocket being bitten by the Salesman is an accepted fact of life!!

The onus of eradicating such an unacceptable comparison between a dog and a Sales man lies with the Sales man himself.

The fear of losing money without been given the value for the same, getting sold something he does not need, is what makes Sales man a suspicious character.

Does this mean only Salesman need to change his approach?

The society also owes an answer "Can they live without a Sales man?"

Can the society live without being cajoled, coxed, flattered, admired ?

Think!!
