I will do nothing even if the Nation's pride is hurt and we are all shamed by the Games mafia to launder tons of money.

I will help in creating a system where my creed of 1 lac will fool 1.2 billion countrymen every 5 years in the name of democracy as if all the power will be transferred to the garib janata after the grand party called election!!

If I can't win the praise I will buy them.

I will take the other road when my politician brothers rapes my daughters and sisters.

I will help my Kauravas to loot the homes for the widows of those who have sacrificed their lives for my peace and life.

My incompetence will rub off to all the Administrators of the nation and will make this country the 87Th most corrupt country in the world.

Congress Grass !!

The corruption in India is like Congress grass.Whatever you do to weed them out they will out grow your effort.Like the name it starts with that party and now no party is aloof to this disease.The situation is such that all the four estates which are so called pillars of of democracy had been weekend by termite of corruption.

India has the proud distinction of being the 87Th ranked nation in world ranking.Thanks to all political parties,bureaucracy,police and you cannot forget the public.

Earlier the public had to resort to corrupt practices so as to get something illegal to get done.Today the public resorts to corruption to get their legal things done.

Without giving a bribe if someone gets his job done then he must be nothing less that the PM's man.

For Indian to be like the least corrupt nation of Denmark we need to wage a war against corruption like what Nitesh kumar have initiated.

With Rs 300,000 crore of Indian money in Swiss bank who only a fool can expect any action in near future!!

Two pronged approach is required to weed out this Congress grass from India.

Politician-criminal nexus should be broken by bringing the entire police,CBI and other enforcement agencies out of the shadow of the corrupt politician.

All corrupt politician and bureaucrats should be immediately tried and must be given exemplary punishment which should include freezing their all assets and life time barring from participating in governance.

However the corruption in India is like the Congress grass which should be only uprooted and cleansed without any trace of it!!

The total number of elected politician in Parliament,all Assemblies,all corporations,etc will not be more 1,00,000 and still they are fooling 1.2 billion Indians!!

This is possible as many middle class goons are working for them against their own mothers and sisters.

"Enemy's enemy is your friend"..How true?

Sallu is Shahrukh's enemy and Shahrukh is Aamir's enemy,so Sallu is Aamir's friend.This seems too simplistic in itself but that holds true for nation's as well.

During the Iran Iraq war since US was never appreciative of Iran's geopolitical adventurism ,US was against Iran.Iran was against Iraq,so US had been hand in gloves with Iraq against Iran.

This was used against the Britishers when some nationalist colluded with Japan and Hitler's Germany for realising India's aspirations.

This is all the prevalent in Indian politics where sleeping with the enemy is acceptable till both have a common enemy.That's why every five years you see different fellows befriending unlikely political hues.

This has its downturn also .When the common enemy disappears friends turn against each other!!

Soul Curry!!

The journey called life has taken me to Patna,the capital of Bihar ,the flagship BIMARU state.

All thoughts of you being robbed,kidnapped and injured started in my psyche the moment I landed in the city.After completing the conference I was keen to venture around and wanted to feel the life there.

The city seems to cruzing on its own speed.The small roads were full of traffic with pedestrian ,two wheeler ,four wheeler and also cattles making your way all the more difficult.

However one peculiar thing about Patna seemed to very frequent urge of everyone to honk.

One can safely honour Patna with the title of "Honking capital of the world".Here honking seems to be the birth right of everyone and nobody cared for silence zones,etc.

All of us went to see the Ganges ,where in order to kill the time we went out on small boat which was filled to the brim.After some time the boat started drifting towards a small island like place.

Once there we kept our shoes in the boat and jumped into the water to cross over to the sandy patch of soil.

The view of the palace of the king of Dharbhanga on one side and Mahatma Gandhi setu on the other was itself fully paisa vasool and it was for just ten bucks for the return trip.

Suddenly the boat which brought us started moving towards the other shore.Before we could realise anything it was far beyond our clarion call for our shoes which were left in it.All big discussion on the geopolitical situation screeched to halt and suddenly everyone came back from the divine and enjoyable sight to the real world where the only question cropping up in every one's mind was their shoes.We couldn't but start doubting the boat man and everyone inside it.Being in Bihar nobody could even think of getting back those much needed shoes.

After some time few more boats sailed to the island but alas our boat was nowhere to see.

When every Tom started planning to go the naked feet to our Hotel rooms ,suddenly we could listen to a shout "O Jutey wale bhayya ,Aapka Jutey le lo"! It was the same boatman whom we cursed and called names just a few pairs of shoes!!

All four were so delighted to get back the shoes and I started thinking -the people in the heartlands of India particularly Bihar are not heartless as they are portrayed outside.

They are simple people with dreams of making both ends meet ,they are ambitious people who could not enjoy the fruits of modernisation ,they are people who thought "vikas" is not their cup of tea till somebody opened their eyes to the colossal loss they have incurred by entrusting wrong people for so many years.

The trust of India lies in villages and on the banks of sacred Ganges live the true sons of Mother India!!

Yeh monthend ka end kab aayega!!

Sales guys have their lives counted on months.It is expected that a good month good performance makes you eligible for the paycheck or else you are #$@%!^.

As airplane pilot's experiences are measured in hours a Sales persons experience should be measured in month ends.Some funny Joe will ask you in job interview about your contribution to the organization...aree Saheb itne din tika raha ..itne month end nikale woh kya kum bada achievement hai!!
The guy tired of sales life finds himself infront of a Daruwala to know his future and listens ''jajman aapke toh sirf 12 month ends baaki hai".
The poor guy must have died many months but this bolt must have been the last nail!!

Many battles have won and many lost around the month ends.When the entire company is relaxing the sales guys is drowned in the month end ...dumping material till the time business partner starts vomitting.
The last hour sales targets and last minute ditches by the customers are normal heartaches for the sales guys and still he is expected to live and perform to prove his worth.

Beginning of the next month some creative genius from the marketing or your boss's boss appears from nowhere to know the reasons of last month's success.
His question clean bolds you and makes you wonder, you scratch your head say to yourself "had I known the reason of success don't you think I would have implemented same every month".

Now if you had a bad month you are liable to explain the reasons of failure,now alas if you had known the reason would you not rectify the same that month only.
A successful month brings many Fathers who will claim that it is there ideas which clicked...

It's like asking the patient the reasons of his ailment!!

Every month Sales world rotates around monthends and the sales guy wonder when will be his last month!!!Share

Why does it happen to us that we buy many things in our life on impulses?

Why does it happen to us that we join a company because somebody else wanted us to?

Why does it happen to us that we have relationship because someone else wants us to ?

The primary reason is aimless voyage on the journey called Life.

Also it may be possible that we have not "discovered our calling".

The fault lies not just within us ,it is ingrained in our societal psyche.

It has become our culture!!

Precisely that may be the reason why only few people are successful in their life and are in complete control.

The irony is most of the time lessor mortals like us react to events,situations and people and we not the creator of our destiny and finally "ourselves".


Either you have your own goals or you become a part of someone else's goals.

That's why most of us are like puppets dancing to other's tune.

These bloody politicians can sell anything for their own benefit.

Its time people take up issues and bring the perpetrators of such heinous crime to justice.

Why not boycott all American products in India ?

Will we die if we don't drink Pepsi and Coke?

Salesmen and Dogs are not allowed!!

This is what you see in most of the so called housing and many commercial complexes.

Is the sales person such a pushy character that everyone wants to shoo him away?

May be not! But this makes one think why such a character assassination of Sales person being done day in and day out in our society.

As per Robert Louis Stevenson Scottish novelist, poet, travel writer and author of 'Treasure Island', wrote 'Everyone lives by selling something' a full 100 year back.

If this is true then every human being is equivalent to dog!!

The statement "Salesmen and Dogs are not allowed",if you probe further you will come to know why such a comparison is being done between the most faithful and most intelligent animal on the earth.

The inherent phobia inside a human being's psyche of being bitten by a dog and his pocket being bitten by the Salesman is an accepted fact of life!!

The onus of eradicating such an unacceptable comparison between a dog and a Sales man lies with the Sales man himself.

The fear of losing money without been given the value for the same, getting sold something he does not need, is what makes Sales man a suspicious character.

Does this mean only Salesman need to change his approach?

The society also owes an answer "Can they live without a Sales man?"

Can the society live without being cajoled,coxed,flattered,admired ?

Work takes me to amazing places across the distant heartlands of this nation.
Recently I came across a small hoarding in the outskirts of Nasik mentioning "Gargoti".

I came to know about a museum dedicated to stones.Lessor mortals like never pay attention to stones unless it hurts us.After a hectic day I finally decided to see what more can any stone be like!!

"Gargoti" was not a place for generalia was proven with the exorbitant entry fee.

However the moment you enter the place you start falling in love with Mother Earth.

I was zapped to see the beautiful "inside" of earth.Hair like stones,beautiful coloured pieces,stones from moon and mars were there to attract your attention.

However the most important thing were the stones from nearby locations like Jalgoan,Nasik and Mumbai.

If someone says he has seen the world let him visit "Gargoti" ..its worth..its a life time experience ...

One would start appreciating the nature inside mother earth's womb!!! Share

Real Life Leadership Situations..The success of getting ahead is getting started!!

Two weeks back I got a call from Sujoy and he was keen on meeting me.Its more than 2 years that we kept ourselves hooked on to occasional bickering about the same old recession and corporate gossips.However this time I could sense "spring" in his voice.
When I met him I was floored by the heights he has scaled as an Equity Investor in a Retail venture.I was zapped by the way he has moved ahead in his ambition to become the Managing Director of Grubs Quick Service restaurant chain along with 2 of his friends.Yes Sujoy you have done a pretty neat job which required lot of motivation to pull that "nail" of being a corporate servant from your life.

"Grubs" caters to both young and old generations with its menu and I suddenly found myself becoming a "foodie".The food tasted excellent and is comparable to any "upmarket" brands available in the market.Though the journey by Sujoy was not on beaten paths and I am sure he is on his way to reach the pinnacle of success.Today he exudes lot of confidence in the fence sitters who has "job" in mind and "business" in their heart to come our of their comfort zone.

While Sujoy peppered our talks with intermittent calls from interested investors in his venture ,it also showed that owning a business brings lot of responsibility in you,as you "father" a brand as well the futures of quite a few people associated with you.

All the best Sujoy on your maiden venture and you have inspired many like me!!

How can two Tamil Nadu ministers and a scores of policemen just standby and be mute spectator to a profusely bleeding injured policeman?

These politician dare to slug it out in the Tamil Nadu assembly with iron rods and motorcycle chains.Where had this daring vanish on seeing an injured policeman on the highway.How can you Mr Minister stand sheepishly and leave the man who is from the clan who protects your life, to die???

You are are coward...Don't ever utter the word courage from your dirty mouth!!

You should resign from your the public post immediately...

Even before the blood had dried on the streets of Tamil Nadu the SP has started justifying the actions of his masters.

Dancing with the wolves!!

The recent incidents of certain high ranking policemen attending the party thrown by crimino-politician is tight slap on the Executive and Judiciary of the nation,cannot say anything of Legislature as they are hand in gloves with "bhai log".One cannot believe that the police does not know about the criminals and their holy acts.Many a times the police are well aware of the criminal activities and they are duly rewarded to keep mum.

All these acts of omission and commission of the higher mortals have to be paid through lives of the middle class.Who cares of middle class and as they are nothing more than political fodders in the so called "of the people,by the people and for the people" democracy?

However the larger issue is why the police takes criminal's side?
Is it the fear of not being in the right side of the criminals?
Or it is the money which stitches their mouth from speaking against the anti social elements?

Is it possible for lowly Inspector ranked police to side the gang lords,or the political masters actually controls the whole nexus and the police is just a pawn!!

In this vicious environment even Rabindranath would not have dared to write..

Pull that nail out!!

I always kept wondering why many amongst us felt pangs of entrepreneurship only on Fridays.And all our plans start getting shape with products,services,channel,supply chain,vendors during the day.We discuss our alliances,partnership,capital and profit sharing for the envisaged venture.

However by Monday morning all entrepreneurship dreams suddenly disappear and by Monday morning we are there in the daily rut and gets ourselves deep inside our present life.

This syndrome of mine almost becoming an entrepreneur on Fridays and finding myself in the daily grind on Mondays came to a halt with my friend Rajesh Iyer narrating me a good story..

"There was a dog living in some part of the world.Tommy have a strange habit of howling once in the day.The homo sapiens around the doggy were irritated and at the same time amazed and at this behaviour.One smart Alec decided to investigate the matter of once in a day "howling" issue.

Smart Alec probed the entire matter by diagnosing the doggy and was surprised to find a big nail stuck inside the dog's one foot.He analyzed that the Tommy was living with the nail for years and he never used to realize the existence of the nail as he was busy in making his both ends meet.

When the doggy was at peace,it starts realizing the existence of the nail and feels the excruciating pain and it starts howling at the top of his voice".

There are so many tommys amongst us who have been bitten by the entrepreneurial bug and who can be the next Ambani or Tata but they keep that nail inside them and suffer the entire life by being a decorated employee rather than taking the plunge and becoming the next entreprenuer on the block.

The challenge is to just remove the " nail of being an employee" from your life.Share

Real Life Leadership situation..Feed the good wolves!!

A Native American grandfather was talking to his grandson about how he felt.
He said, 'I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is the
vengeful, violent one, the other wolf is the loving compassionate one.' The
grandson asked him, 'Which wolf will win the fight in your heart?' The grandfather
answered, 'The one I feed.'

How do we avoid feeding the vengeful and violent wolf?

This wolf is very attractive and without any hardwork in short run and but can be detrimental to us in long run.

The other wolf does not seem to be attractive in short run but can be very fruitful in life in longer run.

We are in this type of cross roads most of the times in our daily life.

The best way to to resolve this type of dilemma is at the individual level,the changes we need to do is in our conscious level of mind every time we face such situations.

One way is to not to take the decisions ourselves.This does not mean we should everytime consult someone else.Many a times its not possible for an individual is because of the privacy.

So whats the way out ?Who will take the decision for us?

Treat ourselves as a company and like companies important decisions by putting up the proposal in front of the Board of Directors,we should appoint a virtual Board of Directors.

In the Board we should keep our family members,important persons in our life ,career and also we can appoint certain personalities Mahatma Gandhi,Nelson Mandela,etc.

Before taking any decision the best thing is bring the proposal in front of our Board.Let the board members take a decision for us.

What will our kids say about this decision?What will our parents say about this decision?What will our teachers say?What will eminent personalities say about this?

By this practice we can always feed the good wolves in our heart.

I have seen many Non Ivy League Management graduates who do everything possible even if it means faking in the interview to grab a job.But once they get it they change their stripes fast.They immediately forget every commitments and assurances given during the interview.

People take their jobs very casually and they act as they need incentives money for doing their basic job.Once squeezed himself in the saddle he is king.He creates an environment that all the MNCs are opening their coffers for him and still he sticking to the present organization with some invisible umbilical cord.
These breed will wax eloquent on the hyped investments available in the market.They will share their Investment acumen as gospel truth and will start their day with share market and only remember their paymaster after the closing bell of the share bazaar.

We can find every third person with these attitudes in every organization worth the name.However they forget that the stable career they are enjoining the benefits off and is the best Investment!!

Real Life Leadership Situations..Big fight against Big "C".

I was in midst of the Training program which I felt was Godsent as I always longed for some good free training program to make myself future proof with an alternative career.The training was full of workshops and the trainer the West Indian looking Gary Sobers type looking tall Indian A.W.George never made us sleep in the program which normally happens in all corporate training which are nothing but paid holidays.

During one such workshop my dog like trained ear caught someone saying about being a Big "C" survivor.I could fleetingly saw the person being the oldest among us mentioning about Big "C".After the training I was desperate to talk to this colleague of mine.

Fortunately he gave me lift in his sedan till my guest which was some 1 hour from the venue of the training.As he negotiated through the Mylapores,Anna Salais of Chennai I started talking about his daring conquest against cancer which for most us has no answer.I was amazed to listen to his instincts to outwit the disease and relive the life which would have slipped out of hand for most of the less mortals like us.

Throughout the journey I could feel my myself very lucky to be seated beside God's own child.The good thing about him is you cannot make out from his appearance about the pain he had gone through to make his family proud and for giving hopes to many human being on how positive attitude can make cancer also beg in front of mankind.

Long live my friend ..Long live Positivity!!!

Free Means No Value..

Free means No Commitment...No Value..

When you self medicate yourself you don't feel like getting better but the moment you decide to visit a doctor ,even before you finish talking to him you feel better.

This is the magic of a getting a service through your hard earned money.

There can be a discount on a product but never something absolutely free.

Things which are free are never treasured ...say a politician's election speech,an advice given without asking for,etc.

Even your life is not free..you have to make it work...every muscle...every blood vessel stretch its guts out.

Also when a product or a service is sold (distributed) free,it loses its charm and most of the times people don't believe it is really free..they always think there must be a catch or a fine print... and finally it does not get sold(forget about distributing).

Or rather its better to add value to your product than discounting it...

As they say there is nothing called free lunches!!Share

Are we Financial Fools??

How many times we have spend a hell of a time to choose the brand of shirt we like in a high street departmental store?

How many times we have asked our friend for helping us to choose the flavour of ice cream ?

How many times we have spend our precious time on the idea of joining a big corporate giant so that we get that extra buck?

Many ....many ......many hours to choose those things in our lives which won't be there for more than few minutes(ice cream),few days (shirt),few years(a new job)!!

Have you ever thought why do we toil so much for the whole life for earning ..but how many days ..forget hours we have given ourselves to take care of the money we earn ...which we will need even for our last rites!!

Most of the middle class "aam aadmi" like us toil their ass off to earn more and more ...than ourselves or rather more than our friends,neighbours,etc.

But why such an apathy towards the hard earned money ?

We will gloss eloquent over FM's budget ..the fiscal deficit..GDP going down..Balance of payment ...but when it comes to our own financial health we take pride in saying "Finance is not cup of tea"?

For a routine fever or two continuous coughs and a few sneezes we find ourselves in front of the doctor then WHY is that when we are in debt soups,credit card mess or month end money tiffs at home ...we just ignore... which can be malignant and can make our lives a living hell!!

Are we really earning tons of money for today...tomorrow...?

Are we really earning tons of money for ourselves ..family...?

As they say either you work for yourself or your money works for you or for a smart Jack it can be both.Share
